Dibs: Debbie Saunderson is an artist in Hunterdon Cty, NJ. Her work reflects her passionate connection to nature and specific places that live in her heart including: the Delaware River, the fields of Rosemont,NJ, Cape Cod, and the Pacific NW, where she grew-up. She views nature as a key element of creativity, spirituality, and healing. Debbie currently works in pastels with a history of painting with oils and watercolors. She has studied in the New Hope-Lambertville areas of NJ and Pa with artists at the New Hope Arts League, the Art Colony, The Community School, and with Al Lachman and Miriam Warfield. She has also taken courses through Temple Univ Arts Program and a lesson with Mary Giammarino an instructor with PAAM (Provincetown Art Assoc. and Museum). She has had an oil painting in the Hunterdon Cty Cultural and Heritage Commission Juried Art Exhibition, an oil in the Artsbridge Juried Show "Works on Paper", a pastel in the Artsbridge 18th Annual Juried Show, which received the award for Impressionist Painting, a pastel in the Delaware River Greenway "Images of the Delaware River Watershed" Juried Art Exhibition, and a pastel "Solitude" in the New Hope Arts Ctr juried show.
